Analysis Report

Social media professionals need to be fully immersed and aware of their own strategies and those of competitors.  Due to time constraints, social media professionals need to be able to effectively communicate information in an easy-to-understand manner.

Using a brand of your choosing, please analyze at least two of their social media pages on different social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.)  Next compare your pages to those of a single competitor.

The purpose of this report is to provide an update to a colleague (in this case me) on what a competitor has been doing recently (do not go back more than two months of posts for this exercise) In your report, consider discussing how the competitor’s two (or more) pages differ from one another.  Also please discuss how your chosen brand’s approach is different and/or similar to the competition.

One required component regardless of whether you use Facebook or Instagram, is to discuss what your brand and the competitor’s brands are doing with respect to Facebook Ads.  To do this, please use the URL https://www.facebook.com/ads/library/ and search for your and the competitors’ page.  If there are no ads being utilized, no worries just please note the same.  Otherwise please briefly discuss what ads are present.
